So I've been home for quite some time now. Just havent really found the time or want to update this. Sorry. Anyway, Thailand was amazing! So amazing that I would even consider living there! Maybe some day it will happen.... we shall see.

When I got to the airport after coming home on such long flights from Thailand my dad was there to meet me! Along with my mom and brother and uncle and aunt. But I was really excited to get to see my dad! For those of you reading this... you most likely know my dad had been in Iraq since october 18th of 2004. So I had the opportunity to spend a week with my dad before he had to go back to Iraq. We spent a lot of family time together and we had a lot of fun! Saying goodbye this time wasnt as hard as the first time, because we know what dad had to go through before and this time he'd only be there for a short period.

Last week I was in Canada with 10 other people from my youth group (3 of which were leaders and 7 of which were teens). We had an awesome time canoeing and portaging... maybe more so canoeing than portaging. But never the less we enjoyed the trip very much. I think the coming home part was amazing too because we were able to feel totally clean when we got home and took long showers and slept in our own bed in clean clothes! Such a nice feeling!  Check out pictures of the Canada trip on C2CBC.com. That is my youth group's website. We have tons of other pictures from tons of other activities. Check 'em out!

Oh yeah, dad broke his foot the day before he left for Iraq and he will be coming home (to the US) soon for rehab. He will most likely be in Texas where he was deployed from. He isnt able to stay in Iraq for the remainder of this tour there because of his foot and not being able to wear his body armor because of it. He's a little upset because he wants to be there with his men, but I think he'll feel much better when he returns to the states and feels closer to home.

Thats about all for now folks! later!

Well I've been in Thailand for a whole week now! It has been such an amazing experience thus far! The food, the people, the culture, the ministry, the scenery...(the shopping), everything!!!! Soooo amazing! I could live here in the future. God is really doing some amazing things in my life, the lives of the team I'm with, and in the lives of the people that we have met. I have only a short time to be online, I need to email family and then I have a team meeting. Then, the rest of the day is free, but I need to catch up on many things! Reading, journal entries (not online), and sleeping!

Oh yeah, I'm a week into my trip, and I have a week to go.... and I have about $4 american. Which is $160 baht..... not a whole lot, but it can get me about 5 meals (I dont have to pay for food, just giving you an example). So yeah, I have very little baht left! Ohh well.. I'll get by!

In Harrisburg still. Today was our last day of "training". It was really great! God has been really opening our eyes and our hearts for this trip and we are all sooooo siked to get there! We've learned a "rope trick" its just a way to show that all sin are equal in the eyes of God.

We just got home from eating out at fudruckers! I love that place!!!! Sooooo good! Yeah and on our way home a bunch of us girls were inside Mcdonalds/Tomz and we're like almost possitive we saw the rapest that has been around here lately! Lisa said she thought the same thing so she called the cops from her cell when we were in the car. I took down his license plate and model of his truck and the police got all the info. so now we're hoping to find something out! That would be sooo freaky if it were really him. He was in Tomz and all he bought was a newspaper! Seriously a young guy like him (mid 20's)... just buying a newspaper... odd! Anywho... thats basically been today... but so much more happened in training but I dont feel like going into all the details. Our group is soooo tight too. We're already clicking together so well! I love it! Holly, Ben, Christine, Haeli, Rachel, and Heidi are amazing! I'm going to be so sad to say goodbye at the end of the trip!

We stayed up way too late last night... it was Christine and I's fault cause we were goofing off the whole time! And we found glow sticks in our room! Long ones so Christine and I dueled it out- Starwars style! Heck yess!!!

Alright... trying to set up a hotmail address so that I'll be able to email people! Hopefully it will work.. if not, ohhh well! I cant remember peoples sn's or email addresses though.. so if you see this and you want me to email you.. you'll have to comment it and leave your full address! Numbers in addresses are what get me, and funky different spelling, and different @ things... yeah.

Leave at 5:30 in the morning! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In Harrisburg right now.. getting training for my Thailand missions trip!!!!! YAY!!! Today was great getting to know everyone on my team! They are awesome people and I'm looking forward to getting to know them more! Tomorrow will be great, we'll be having more lessons on preparing our hearts for the ministry, and the "do's and don'ts" fun shtuff!!! Yeah, so I'd email people, but because I have wmconnect, I cant do that! You have to have the software downloaded on to the computer to be able to do so. Yeah that really bites!!!! So until I can maybe figure a way to get on it without downloading it I'll just have to keep writing on this and hope people who care will look at it! Tomorrow night we will be packing up our care packages for the Akha youth kids in the tribal area of Northern Thailand. Then, in the morning my mom, mrs. finkenbinder, and another mom will be taking both Thai teams to Baltimore airport where we will begin our VERY VERY long journey to get to Thailand. I believe there are at least 4 different lay overs , and the trip will take I believe maybe a whole day to a day and a half. OOOOHHH FUNNN!!! I love airports though! Except I am dissapointed, I hear that they do not give out peanuts anymore, just pretzles! EWW.... thats just wrong!

AHHHH I am just soooooooooooooooooooooo excited to see what God has instore for the two different teams going, and specifically in each of our lives! We're going to have an amazing time!

My team consists of myself (obviously), hannah finkenbinder, holly ford (ben collins' cousin-from michigan), ben (something)-holly's friend also from michigan, haeli (something)-from russia!, rachel (something) from reading, heidi (something) from i believe harrisburg, christine (something) from york, and lisa caynor!

Maybe in a few days I'll be able to fill in the "somethings" with names!!!

For those of you who may see this, please be praying for me, as well as my team, and the other team that will be going to Southern Thailand! Thank you!
